I’m realizing the joy that I get from seeing this beautiful Spring must be similar to the joy my sister-in-law gets from driving around and seeing Christmas lights. The magnolias (be still my heart!), the flowering cherries, the blooming peaches… Even the plentiful rain
- all of it. I’m literally weeping because this Spring is absolutely the prettiest shit. Someone fuckin pinch me. I could also be weeping because I’m an emotional wreck with anxiety sitting deep in my chest wondering if this season “will be enough” at the same as “too much”. But its better for my mental health if I say its because of the beauty of the season. So cheers to that, and buckle up because this season, this world, is feast or famine and probably both at the same time.

Dude, dahlias were a last minute thing for me this

Dude, dahlias were a last minute thing for me this year and literally got whatever was left in the flamingo warehouse. Been trying to get excited about them, and of course it’s the off types and gene pools with hella diversity that get me excited. The first pic is an off type pinelands Princess- a normal looking one is the second pic. The next three are all Frost Nip! How fuckin cool. Needless to say, I’ll be saving seeds and growing out bébés from all the weirdos.
